Best of Crotone
If you want to take home a souvenir from Crotone, just visit one of its artisan goldsmiths, who offer gold and silver creations inspired by the Magna Graecian and Byzantine traditions.
Have a look at the traditional wines and food products, and make sure you don’t miss out on a good bottle of Cirò wine or some olive oil preserves. Those with a sweet tooth won’t be able to resist the chocolate covered dried figs or the pure liquorice in the form of chips or pebbles.
For those who prefer traditional souvenirs, miniature stone reproductions of the Hera Lacinia temple can be found in the local shops.
The shopping area is concentrated along Via Vittorio Veneto, which begins at the city's main square. While strolling through the city centre, you’ll come across numerous shops selling the clothes, footwear and leather goods of Italy’s most renowned fashion brands. The jewellery shops offer both international brands, as well as items made by local craftsmen. The shops observe the siesta from about 1 pm to 5 pm.
